Creative Solutions for Cultural Organisations
Antony Ernst
How I work
I grasp your situation, understand your needs and your environment, and work with you to find solutions for your challenges, then help you to put them into action.
For the expertise your institution needs at board or management level. For the big picture issues that you don’t have the time or resources to do alone: strategy, planning, change management, project management.
I clarify your needs and options and give you a practical and inspiring way forward.
When you need an interim CEO or artistic programmer, or you want to outsource season planning, tour organisation, or special projects, come and talk to me.
I get up to speed fast, and provide reliability, reassurance, and calm for your institution.
Semi-staged operas, theatre concerts, scripts and staging, production of special events - see the section on Peer Gynt below as an example.
I can conceive and realise imaginative and practical productions which move and engage your audience.
Who I work with
I am there for the board and management of orchestras, opera companies, and arts and cultural organisations.
When you need expertise which adapts and understands your needs, which grasps challenges and creates solutions, get in touch.
About me
I have wide international experience as an strategist, manager, planner, producer, and communicator for orchestras, opera companies and arts organisations.
I have developed strategy and lead landmark projects for organisations in France, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
Peer Gynt
Now in its fourth production, this theatrical concert uses Grieg’s music, three actors and economical staging to tell the dramatic, funny, and moving story of Ibsen’s Peer Gynt.
Needing minimal extra resources for an orchestra, and lasting an hour, this theatrical concert can be a highlight of your season.
It has already been performed in three different languages, and new versions are always possible.
It is the music that stands at the center, and it was strong and holistic, thought-provoking and above all a profound experience for the senses. We get to enjoy both of the two most famous orchestral suites in their entirety, and it is absolutely beautiful.
I am a theatre critic, not a musicologist, but I can describe what music and sound and the non-verbal mean for a scenic experience. Here it is poignant, beautiful and also strikingly well intertwined with the acting. A delightful artistic experience.
